You've probably found the stuff you want by browsing around the place. But if you're the sort of person who actually reads instruction books before launching into things (like, you're over 30) then you'll be reading this first. Whatever... MANUFACTURER SEARCH Use the drop down list to find all products by a certain manufacturer. KEYWORD SEARCH What it says - type in a key word and find it on the site. If you don't have much luck searching for, say, jerseys, try it without the 's'. BASKET TOTAL This keeps a running count of the value of items you have placed in your basket. ITEMS A running count of the number of items in your basket. HOME If you get lost just click home to take you back to the front page of the site. VIEW BASKET Click at any time to see what is in your shopping basket. You can delete items from your basket, amend the quantity or continue to the checkout or finance from here. BIKES - FRAMES Reasonably obvious, this is where you can choose either a complete bike or just a frame to build your own bike from component parts. Also contained in this section is a link to the Custom Bike Calculator. This allows you to pick the specification of your Bike and place the order online. SOFTWARE refers to all the items that we stock that are typically things that you would wear, watch or eat. That is to say, all clothing can be found here along with bags, food and drink, video/DVD, watches and eyewear. You get the picture. HARDWARE is where you will find anything to go on your bike or all the stuff you need to maintain it. That means from lubrication to car racks, pedals or turbo trainers - it's all here. Things made of metal mostly and as we say all the stuff that maintains or attaches to your bike. HOW TO ORDER When you see what you want just click on 'more detail' or 'add to basket' next to the product. You will be taken to another screen showing a larger, more detailed image of the product and options of size, colour etc. Also here you can click on the 'zoom' magnifying glass to the right of the bottom of the image to see an enlarged image to give you more of a 'feel' of the product. If you wish to purchase the product, select your options of size, colour or whatever and click 'add to basket'. You'll be whisked to the 'shopping basket' area to check that you have added the correct product in the correct size etc. If you are happy with your choice and you want more, then click 'Back to Shop' and you'll go back to the first shop page to search for your second product. Don't forget, you can return to your basket anytime by clicking 'View Basket' at the top right of your screen. While you are in the 'basket' window you'll see some products listed at the foot of the basket which relate to the product you are buying. If any of these take your fancy, then just click on the link and you can have a closer look. If you wish to change the contents of the basket, either quantities or to remove a product, change the 'quantity' box to the required quantity or check the 'delete' box to remove the product. Now click on 'update basket' and it'll do just that. Still in the basket then, if you would like to see what Finance Options are available, and you have spent more than £170, click on 'Finance' and you will be taken to the Finance pages where you can submit an online form for Finance approval. Follow the steps here and submit (128 bit securely) the form to gain approval. We will then send you a hard copy of the form for you to sign and return prior to your goods being despatched. CHECKING OUT Right - assuming you don't go to the finance options you are now ready to checkout, so click the 'Checkout' button. You are taken to an entirely secure environment where you will be asked to enter the details of your address (auto filled if you have registered all your details), shipping address and card details. Enter all the relevant information and when you are happy with what you have entered, click 'check order details' at the bottom of the page. The next page allows you to check all the details of your order before confirming the order. So…..check everything again and when you are ready, click the 'Confirm' button. You will now be taken (still securely) to the final stage of your order process and given an order reference. At this stage you may also wish to print the details of your order by clicking the 'Print' button. Make a note of the order number you're given when you finally submit the order and your stuff should be sent within 2 days by 1st class registered post. We'll be in touch with you directly to confirm your order details or if there is a problem with your order. We won't charge your card until the goods are wrapped up and waiting to be despatched. We'll let you know if there are any stock back-order problems, and any orders will be dealt with in the same thorough professional way that we always have, whether your order comes to us electronically, by carrier pigeon, or by sending your mum round with a list. OFFLINE PAYMENT If you don't have a credit card or are not confident inputting your details online, then we do offer alternatives. You can pay by cheque, postal order or credit card without entering any sensitive details on the web... Simply shop as described above and proceed to the checkout as normal. At the top of the first checkout page, you will see 2 buttons for offline payment, all you need to do is print out and complete the appropriate form then send it to us. Please note that your goods will not be reserved until we receive this order form. We will then confirm by phone or email that the goods are in stock and give you an order number. If you have a credit card, and only used it for online transactions, you're less likely to fall foul of fraudsters than if you used the card in the high street. Think of the potentials. Petrol receipts, supermarket till receipts, they've all got your details on and any would be outlaw could scam up a version of your card in no time. BUYER BEWARE There are a number of so called cycle retailers in the UK that appear to be people working out of their bedrooms and doing online retailing without a shop-front. Fair play to them. If you want to trust your financial details to someone whose shop you've never seen, who you've never heard of before, who don't sponsor a team and who falsely claim to offer a full warranty, then that's fine.
